1967 Expansion Draft

The NHL’s first expansion draft was held in June 1967.
 
(The 1967-68 Topps and O-Pee-Chee card sets did not include any players on the 6 expansion teams, so for any 1967 posts, I will need to make-do with other cards. These horizontal cards are from 1968-69, and the vertical cards are from 1969-70.)
 
The Original Six teams each protected 1 goaltender and 11 skaters. Also excluded from the draft were junior players, and first-year professional players. 
 
Each new team selected 2 goaltenders and 18 skaters from among the players unprotected by the Original Six. The first 2 rounds were specifically for goaltenders. After each round (except rounds 2, 5, and 6), existing clubs could protect one additional player.
